"The one person permitted to tell the king the truth — precisely because he had nothing to sell him."— on the court fool, card zero of the tarot
Who, why, how
The Fool
Fool is not an insult here. It's card zero — the figure left unnumbered, free to walk through every other card because he belongs to no fixed place. Interested in everything; caring deeply; claustrophobic of labels. Designer, photographer, writer — roles too small to be an identity, but ones I'll play for the night. The fool is the one who goes down the rabbit hole. Everything else is just which one.
The promise
We are not experts. We are fascinated by obsessed people — we are obsessed with obsessed people. Everything here is the work of the ones who couldn't stop, read closely and told back honestly, with the whole trail of where it came from kept in the open. No salesmen, no echo chamber. Just good articles, when a rabbit hole is worth sharing — no cadence, no feed.
Made in the open — AI and the human hand
Each piece is researched and drafted with AI, then curated, sourced and verified by me. That seam is marked on every article, and we're not ashamed of it — it is exactly what makes this better than the salesman-filled first page of Google, better than a thin chatbot answer with its biases, and better than raw AI: human curiosity, human-touched and verified. My own photographs, drawings and notes are always marked human, plainly separate from the machine. The full method →
